Highlights from High School and Middle School Clinic Meeting
- Award of Excellence recipient: Vevlyn Lowe
- David Duffy was selected as clinician for the 2009 9-10 All-District Band
- New fee schedule for MS and HS District Auditions was adopted: $5.00 per student pre-registration, $10.00 per student late registration (to be received by the auditions chair no later than Friday before auditions occur), and $50.00 per student for on-site registration the day of auditions.
- Becky Falor will serve as SEDBA Secretary as well as fulfilling the duties of immediate past-president on the board
- George Nickerson will serve as a Member at Large on the board

- March 29, 2008 - UNC-Pembroke Honors Band
- April 12, 2008 - Solo and Ensemble at UNC-Pembroke
- April 18-20, 2008 - All State Honors Band Clinic in Winston-Salem at the North Carolina School of the Arts
District Membership Dues
Dues are $10.00 if paid by November 1, Between November 2 and December 1 dues are $20.00. After December 1, membership is available for $150.00. You may send your check to Beth Faircloth Pope, SEDBA treasurer, Clarkton School of Discovery, PO Box 130, Clarkton, NC 28433. Please make all checks payable to SEDBA. Dues will be accepted at the September meeting.
