Thank you in advance for your hard work and the preparation
of your students for today’s auditions. Should your student(s)
be selected for participation in the North Carolina Honors Band, please
be certain you understand the following information. NO INFORMATION
WILL BE MAILED OR SENT TO YOU IF YOUR STUDENT(S) ARE SELECTED FOR
PARTICIPATION.
All of the registration information and forms you need
to register your students are below in Adobe Acrobat file
format. You can get a free copy of the reader by clicking
the link at the bottom of the page.
THE DEADLINE FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION
FOR THE NCBA HONORS CLINIC IS MARCH 30 2010.
Registration Steps
1. Click the following link to register your students
on line: NCBA
Honors Band Clinic Registration. Be sure to register for each
ensemble in which you have students participating. The password for
the registration page is ncbahonorsclinic (no spaces, use appropriate
caps).
2. The clinic chair will mail you music for each student after the
on line registration is complete and the deadline for registration
has passed (3/30/10). This will be your verification that the initial
registration process is complete.
3. Print the Medical
Release/Behavior Contract. You should copy this and
give one to each participating student. The student should then return
the form to you with his/her signature, the signature of his/her parent
or guardian and your signature.
4. Assess a Registration fee of $43.00 per student
who is participating in the North Carolina Honors Band Clinic. One
check should be written for each ensemble covering the cost of all
students participating in the particular ensemble. This check should
be made payable to NCBA Honors Band. NOTE: The check MUST
be from one of the following sources: the participating school or
the school’s booster organization. Individual
checks from directors and parents will not be accepted.
Cash is also acceptable.
5. Bring the Registration fee for each ensemble,
the Medical Release Form/Behavior Contract
for each participating student and your current MENC membership
card on April 30 to the appropriate clinic chair listed below
when registering at UNC. All three items
must be submitted at the on-site registration in order for your students
to participate in the clinic.
6 . Upon arrival at UNC, all participating students MUST be registered
by their participating band director in person. Parents
MAY NOT register students nor may they serve in the place of a band
director during the clinic weekend. A violation of this
rule will result in the dismissal of the student from the North Carolina
Honors Band weekend.
General Reminders
1. Be sure to read through all of the information above,
particularly the information regarding schedule,
parking and lodging.
2. Included in the Registration Fee is the price of dinner on Friday
and lunch on Saturday. Students will walk as a group to the location
of this meal both days. Directors are responsible for transporting
students for meals during other times. The clinic chairs would welcome
any chaperone assistance during the meals from directors.

timpani, (b) one bass drum, (c) one xylophone, (d) one glockenspiel
(bells), (e) one vibraphone, (f) one tam-tam, (g) one set of chimes,
